More than something to sell...

A distinctive product

Footballs and rugby balls are practical gifts for chidren, families, schools and sports clubs-not simply decorative ethical products.

A conversation starter

Bala connects fair trade with something customers already understand: the importance of playing fair.

A story that continues

Every ball carries its purpose into the playground, park, school or club, helping your shop's impact travel further.

Quickfire queries...

What is the Fair Trade Premium?

The Fair Trade Premium is defined by FLOCERT as an extra sum of money, paid on top of the selling price, that workers invest in projects of their choice.

These projects aim to reach community goals, such as improving their farming, businesses, or health and education in their community. Our Bala workers at Bola Gema voted to have a subsidised grocery shop on site.

Where are the balls made?

Our balls are made at Bola Gema, a factory in Sialkot, Pakistan. Sialkot is known for it's sports ball industry, and Bola Gema is one of the few factories that are Fairtrade certified (FLO id 33150), along with FIFA, SEDEX and BSCI accreditation.

Which products should my shop begin with?

Our Bala Play footballs are our best selling range. They have the lowest price point and also come in size 4, so are suitable for smaller kids.

Many shops pair the Play with the Team football. This is more suitable for heavier play and training, and the dual offer gives the customer choice.

If your location is in a sporty town then the pro level Rugby ball and the Club football are strong options. They are top quality balls at a competitive price.

What is the minimum opening order?

We have a four ball minimum order with free postage. Return postage is paid by the retailer in the event of any balls not selling within the time frame.

How does sale or return work?

Contact us directly on info@balasport.co.uk to outline your requirements (or fill out our bulk query using the button below). We will create an order with your discount and delayed payment date. This will be emailed to you and the balls despatched within 3-5 working days.

At the end of the SOR term, simply pay the invoice if all the balls have sold. Or return the unsold balls (you are liable for return postage) and a new invoice will be issued.

Any returned balls must be in mint condition to enable resale elsewhere.

What display and marketing support do I receive?

Bala can help with window displays and marketing. See below for our downloadable resources, images and flyers.

If you require anything that is not available please get in touch. We can create bespoke resources where possible, as well as helping with outreach to schools and community groups.
