Fairtrade Balls

Bala Sport is growing its reputation among grassroots clubs and schools for high quality ethical footballs, futsal and rugby balls. This reputation is based on quality of product and the distinctive look, designed in the UK. All of our balls carry the Fairtrade Mark. It takes time to ensure the right quality of ball, but coming soon are; Bala Fairtrade certified netballs and volley balls. We also do Fairtrade customised balls – so tell us what you want!

Bala Sport Fairtrade balls are made and tested to the same standards that FIFA use. The really good thing is though that when workers are paid to make a Fairtrade Bala Sport ball they benefit from the extra 10% Fairtrade Premium, and they decide democratically on what social development schemes to spend it on – so it’s  win-win for all.

The Bala Pro

Our top of the range hand-stitched Pro ball, made to the same specs as FIFA Quality Pro balls. This ball is carefully hand-stitched in 1.5mm PU with 4 polyester backing layers and an 8 wing latex bladder for bounce. Official size and weight. Available in size 5 only.

The Bala Astro

Specially designed for play on hard artificial grass surfaces this eye catching ball is made in durable 1.4mm PU with a special hard-wearing surface and a latex bladder for bounce. Currently available in size 5 only. The ball was developed in association with Street Soccer Scotland as the official match ball of the Homeless World Cup in 2016. Made to same standards as FIFA Quality.

The Bala Team

Stay ahead of your game and hone your team skills with these high performance training balls. Hand stitched by our dedicated teams in Sialkot in 1mm thick PU with a latex bladder. This ball is made to standards equivalent to FIFA Quality. Available in size 4 (8-14 years) and size 5 (14 and upwards).

The Bala Play

Great for a kick-about in the park or on the beach with your mates, or to take on holiday. This colourful and keenly priced ball is machine stitched in PU. Made to International Matchball Standard (IMS). Available in sizes 3 (under 8 years), 4 (8-14 years) and 5 (14 and upwards). The size 3 ball comes in blue, pink or orange. Sizes 4 and 5 come in blue or pink.

The Bala Play

Great for a kick-about in the park or on the beach with your mates, or to take on holiday. This colourful and keenly priced ball is machine stitched in PU.
